About B.Sc & M.Sc in Forensic Sciences Course
- BSc Forensic Science is a three-year undergraduate program for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in Forensic Science. The course mainly trains students to understand and analyze a criminal activity and/or a crime scene. Forensic Science is mostly crime-scene based science, but graduates of forensic science are also consulted in civil cases such as proving the validity of a signature on a will or an important document. Professionals in forensic sciences are also consulted for any issue where the people involved could be cutting corners or performing illegal activities.
- MSc Forensic Science course is a two-year undergraduate program for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in Forensic Science.
- The course deals with the study of crime investigations. It provides training to students that include analyzing, identifying suspects through materials found on crime locations. It is a course that develops the students for the crime scene and makes them analyze and handle the required materials for the investigation of a crime scene. The postgraduate Forensic Science course consists of both core and elective subjects depending on the specialization sought.

Eligibility Criteria
For BSc Forensic Science
- The candidates must have a minimum education qualification of Higher Secondary (10+2) or any equivalent education with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and/or Mathematics as the main subjects with a minimum aggregate of 45% or should be appearing for the same in 2024.
- To appear for AIFSET 2024, the candidate must satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria. if the candidate is found to not satisfy the criteria, then his/her candidature can be cancelled at any time during the admission process.
For MSc Forensic Science
- The candidates must have a bachelor degree or any equivalent education in science with relevant subjects with a minimum aggregate of 45% or should be appearing for the same in 2024.
- To appear for AIFSET 2024, the candidate must satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria. if the candidate is found to not satisfy the criteria, then his/her candidature can be cancelled at any time during the admission process.
How to Apply?
- The application form for AIFSET can be filled online at aifset.com. The application process is considered complete only after the submission of the application fee.
Steps to Apply
- Step-1: Click on the direct link of the application form given above.
- Step-2: The candidates will find the overview of AIFSET on the main page.
- Step-3: On the top of the main page the candidates can see Application Form available.
- Step-4: Click on the tab ‘Register Now’. Enter a valid email id or mobile number, state, district, name etc.
- Step-5: After successful registration, the candidates will have to pay the application fee.
- Step-6: After payment, the candidate must take a print out of the payment receipt.
Application Fee
- The application fee for AIFSET 2024 is Rs.2000/-
- The application fee can be paid via online only such as Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. Once the payment is made it cannot be refunded.
AIFSET Exam Pattern
- The AIFSET 2024 exam will be conducted in online mode and you can appear in the same using your mobile, laptop, or desktop.
- There will be ONE question paper of total 60 minutes.
- The question paper will be in English.
- The question paper will carry a total of 100 marks.
- Candidates would be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer, however, there is no negative marking for any wrong answer.
- Candidates are requested to appear at least 15 minutes before the beginning of the examination.
