Eligibility Criteria
M.Phil. Programs
- MPhil in Development Studies & MPhil in Education Leadership: A Master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized institution with a minimum of 50% score in aggregate or CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.
- M.Phil in English Language Education: A Master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized institution with a minimum of 50% score in aggregate or CGPA 3.0 out of 4.
- M.Phil in Steam Education: A Master’s degree or equivalent in ELT/English Language Education/English Literature/English Linguistics with a minimum of 50% score in aggregate or CGPA 3.0 out of 4.
Ph.D. Programs
- 17 years of formal education.
- A minimum of 50% score in aggregate or CGPA 3 out of 4 in the last degree in related fields.
- Applicants are required to submit their research proposal and the curriculum vitae (CV) along with the application
- An MPhil degree and publications of research articles are preferred.

- Application forms are available at the administrative office of the concerned departments of the School of Science, Dhulikhel, Kavre, or online at the School of Science website: https://sos.ku.edu.np/downloads-628.
- All eligible applicants are informed to fill out the prescribed application form and deposit the application fee of NRs. 1,500/- at any branch of Nepal Investment Bank Ltd. account no. : 00501030255530, along with photocopies of previous academic and citizenship certificates at the administrative office of the concerned departments of the School of Science, Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Kavre.
- The last date for submission of the application is 30 November 2024 (Mangsir 14, 2079 BS).
- Admissions can be obtained on both a Full-Time or Part-Time basis.
