National Overseas Scholarship for Minority Community 2023-24 – The Government of Karnataka’s Directorate of Minorities, operating under the Department of Minority Welfare, has issued a call for online applications for the National Overseas Scholarship for the academic year 2023-24

- The Department of Minority Welfare, Directorate of Minorities, Government of Karnataka has issued a notification calling for online applications from students belonging to minority communities in Karnataka.
- These applications are open to those pursuing a Master’s Course at overseas universities (Top 500 Ranking Universities in the world) for the academic year 2023-24.

Eligibility Criteria
- Residency Requirement: Applicants must be residents of Karnataka State.
- Minority Status: Candidates must belong to minority communities, including Muslim, Christian, Jain, Buddhist, Sikh, and Parsi.
- Academic Pursuit: The intended course of study should be a full-time Master’s program at an overseas university (Top 500 Ranking Universities in the world) for the academic year 2023-24.
- Age Limit: Prospective students should not be older than 38 years.
- Income Limit: The annual family income should not exceed Rs 15 Lakhs.
Scholarship Benefits
- The recipients will receive an annual allowance of up to Rs 10 Lakh, with a maximum grant of Rs 20 lakh for the duration of the course. If Annual Income is less than Rs. 6 Lakhs, Scholarship Amount: Rs. 10 Lakhs
- If Annual Income is between Rs. 6 Lakhs to Rs. 15 Lakhs, Scholarship Amount : Rs. 20 Lakhs
Documents Required
- The following documentation is necessary when applying for the National Overseas Scholarship for the academic year 2023-24
- Verified duplicates of payment receipts
- Attested copy of the correspondence from the foreign university regarding the applicant’s enrollment in the course
- Periodic progress and performance reports from the respective foreign university.
- Proof of income or caste certification.
